Communications and Marketing Officer
Prevent Breast Cancer is looking for a Communications & Marketing Officer to join us at an exciting point in our growth. You’ll help shape how we talk about breast cancer prevention — from sharing our pioneering research to raising awareness and tackling health inequities. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly drive income, engagement and impact.
You’ll create bold, engaging content and campaigns across digital, email, web, social and print. Working with colleagues and external partners, you’ll turn ideas into clear messages that make people feel something — and take action. You’ll also track what’s working, learn from the data, and keep improving our marketing and communications.
No two days are the same. We’re looking for someone dynamic who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is keen to stretch themselves. This isn’t a routine 9–5, this is a varied and hands-on role in an ambitious charity, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working flexibly when needed. Although the role is full-time, there will be times when work happens outside standard office hours. We’d love to hear from someone who brings energy, curiosity and genuine passion for our cause.
You’ll need excellent organisation and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the confidence to juggle priorities. You’ll be supported to develop in the role, and we’re looking for someone who takes initiative, spots what needs doing and follows through — to a high standard and on time.
About the Charity
Prevent Breast Cancer is committed to using science to save lives. We are the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prevention of EVERY breast cancer, funding vital research into prediction, prevention, and early detection, so that no one has to go through it in the first place.
Across the UK over 59,400 people develop breast cancer each year; tragically 11,200 do not survive. By joining us you’re helping towards breaking the cycle of breast cancer, and thanks to better predictive tools and early intervention, we truly believe that for future generations, breast cancer will be a thing of the past. This means acting now, to help more people live a life that’s free from the disease. It means funding research aimed solely at preventing breast cancer. And it means creating a world where thousands of people are spared from ever experiencing the pain and suffering it causes.
