Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Reporting to: Charity Marketing and Inclusion Lead

About the role

We’re looking for a Charity Marketing Assistant to provide practical, day‑to‑day marketing support across Minstead Trust’s care and support services.

This is a varied and hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with different teams, multitasking and creating clear, engaging and accessible communications. You’ll be a key point of contact for charity marketing activity, supporting colleagues to turn ideas and requests into well‑presented materials that are on brand and delivered on time.

You’ll help deliver a wide range of marketing activity including easy read documents, flyers, posters, social media content, website updates, event promotion and simple press releases. Working closely with teams across the Trust, you’ll help ensure our communications are inclusive, well organised and reach the right audiences.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for charity marketing requests, triaging and prioritising day‑to‑day enquiries
  • Create and update marketing materials such as easy read documents, flyers, posters, leaflets, presentations and other resources
  • Support social media activity, including scheduling and posting content, and gathering case studies
  • Update website content, including job adverts, events, images and service information
  • Set up and manage event ticketing and booking systems, supporting bookings and attendee communications
  • Help promote events and campaigns through digital and printed channels
  • Add and update service information on external listing sites and directories
  • Write simple press releases, news stories and other engaging copy
  • Gather and check information from colleagues to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure all materials follow brand guidelines and are accessible to a range of audiences, including people with learning disabilities
  • Track marketing requests, deadlines and approvals to keep projects organised
  • Upload and organise content, images and documents in agreed systems
  • Support basic reporting on digital activity and marketing output when required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity and social enterprises
  • Very occasional out‑of‑hours work at events may be required

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Experience in a marketing, communications, admin or coordination role
  • Experience producing or supporting marketing materials (e.g. flyers, posters, website updates or social content)
  • Strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Confidence using digital tools, websites, social media and standard office software
  • Ability to work with colleagues across different teams and gather information effectively
  • An understanding of the importance of clear and accessible communication
  • Professional and helpful approach to responding to requests
  • Strong general IT and digital skills

Desirable:

  • Experience creating easy read or accessible materials
  • Experience updating websites or using content management systems
  • Experience setting up event ticketing or booking systems
  • Experience writing press releases or media content
  • Experience working in a charity, social enterprise or purpose‑led organisation
  • Understanding of brand guidelines
  • An interest in inclusive communications and reaching diverse audiences
