Safety Net is the leading provider of specialist recovery services for people affected by rape, exploitation, domestic abuse and sexual abuse across Cumbria.
We are seeking an inspiring new Chair of Trustees to lead our Board into its next chapter.
The Opportunity
As Chair, you will provide leadership to the Board, support the Chief Executive and senior team, and help ensure strong governance, strategic focus and long-term sustainability.
You will play a key role in helping Safety Net grow its reach, strengthen partnerships and continue delivering life-changing services.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong leadership and governance skills
- Strategic thinking and sound judgement
- Ability to chair meetings effectively
- Confidence in building relationships and representing the charity externally
- Commitment to equality, safeguarding and trauma-informed values
- Passion for our mission
Previous Chair or trustee experience is desirable, but not essential.
Commitment
- Voluntary unpaid role
- Board meetings (approximately 4 per year)
- Additional meetings with the CEO / senior team as required
