ADM3 is a voluntary committee of IOM3 whose goal is to achieve equality of opportunity professionally for IOM3 members identifying as disabled and allies, such as family members, carers and work colleagues. Together, we will do this by advancing the interests of disabled people, raising awareness and supporting equality of opportunity for IOM3 members in materials, minerals and mining and supporting equality, diversity and inclusion within the wider STEM community.

As Chair, you will:

  • Provide support for IOM3 members with disabilities, and strive to increase their active participation inside and outside the workspace
  • Raise awareness and campaign on issues facing IOM3 members with disabilities, within the workplace, and in society in general
  • Advise the IOM3 Executive Committee on matters relating to disabilities

We are happy to arrange informal conversations for anyone who would like to find out more.

Any member in good standing interested in supporting the aims of ADM3 can apply. Please submit a CV and a statement of what you propose to do as Chair to support members, improve equity, diversity, and inclusion to anita.horton@iom3.org by 31 October 2025.

Don’t meet every requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At IOM3, we are building a diverse, inclusive and authentic Institute. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the role description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the right candidate for this or other roles.
