The Interim Finance Business Partner (FMDI) helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by:

Delivering strategic finance partnering throughout FMDI.

Implementing new ways of working to drive income growth, ROI optimization, and financial sustainability.

Providing robust budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision support.

Developing and embedding appropriate skills and capabilities within the Financial Planning and Analysis team and FMDI.

For this role you will be based at our Hillfields site in Reading and expected to attend site 2/3 days per week.

Candidate requirements

To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;

Essential

Professional Accountancy qualification.

Evidence of continuous professional development with a focus on embracing financial best practice and understanding commercial trends in business partnering  

Degree educated or equivalent experience (QCF level 6 / SQCF levels 9-10).

A Level qualifications or equivalent to include Mathematics and numerate focused studies

Sector Experience: Demonstrable strong expertise in a finance business partner role, preferably within a high volume sales and digital marketing organisation.

Sales and Marketing Knowledge: Proven experience supporting sales and marketing teams with financial planning and ROI analysis.

Forecasting Expertise: Proven experience with multi-year budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling at a campaign level.

Advanced Excel Proficiency: scenario analysis, large data experience and complex data manipulation

Financial Modelling: working knowledge of with dynamic modelling for variety of outputs, expert modeller using excel functionality to deliver insight, 

Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of ERP systems (Unit4 preferred), CRM platforms, and BI tools

Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends, variances, and deliver business insights and recommendations

Balanced Scorecard:  Defining and reporting of KPIs to provide a balanced scorecard assessment and drive course corrections.

Digital Marketing Knowledge: Demonstrable understanding of digital fundraising channels and marketing analytics.

Communication Excellence: Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence, challenge, and build trust across departments.

Drive change: Proven ability to review existing processes based on their value contribution, devise and recommend improvements and imbed alternative ways of working that include challenging senior leaders or long-standing cross-matrix processes.

Strategic Thinking: Commercial acumen to align financial plans with organisational strategy and growth objectives. 

Collaborative Approach: Experience working effectively within cross-functional teams and matrix structures.

Problem Solving:  Developing responses to issues or risk identified.
