Are you driven to make a positive impact on people’s mental health using evidence based psychological therapies? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner while working within a supportive and forward-thinking team here at Everyturn!
In this role, you’ll undertake a fully funded Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Post Graduate Certificate or a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner UniDip (depending on your previous level of study) through the University of Lincoln. You’ll spend 1 day a week (Wednesday) studying at the university, and have 1 study day a week, with the remainder of your time gaining clinical hours and practical experience in our service under the guidance of experienced clinicians.
Our experienced managers and supervisors will guide your development. We have an excellent track record of supporting trainees through the course and into qualified roles.
The position is open to both undergraduates and postgraduates. For those without an undergraduate degree, you are required to have previously studied to Level 5 and be able to demonstrate your ability to work at Level 6 by completing an essay, which will be reviewed by the Programme Team. Please Note:
- Planned service start date for these roles is 23rd February 2026. University induction is scheduled to take place on 4th March and the course begins 9th March 2026, where you are required to attend teaching Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for the first 2 weeks. A minimum of 50% of the course teaching is face-to-face, and you are required to attend this.
- This is a 12-month full-time training programme. Attendance at all University teaching days is mandatory.
- Applicants must be able to commit to both the academic and clinical components of the course.
- Upon successful completion of the course and meeting all criteria, you will progress into a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitionerrole within our service.
- During your in service days you will follow a hybrid working model, with at least one day each week spent on-site at one of our hubs/ community venues. This in-person time provides valuable opportunities to build experience working face to face with patients, connect with colleagues, build your support network, and collaborate within a dynamic team environment.
- You will work Monday to Friday, with at least one 12pm-8pm shift per week to help us meet the needs of our patients.
About you
We would love to hear from you, if you possess the following:
- Degree educated, ideally in a related field (e.g. psychological or behavioral science) (for exceptions please see the above criteria)
- Proven track record of working positively with people who have experienced a mental ill health in a mental health setting.
- Highly resilient with the ability to meet the attendance and academic requirements of the course, whilst also working for our service.
- Are able to organise a high-volume workload to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of objectives.
- Able to work to required performance targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Highly resilient with the ability and desire to become a qualified PWP
- Ability to work flexibly to meet service and client need.
