As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers enjoy their experience, from food preparation to cooking, serving and catering. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food safety will be essential.

Duties

Prepare food and beverages, ensuring all items are made to the highest quality standards

• Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, providing dietary and allergen advice

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment

• Prepare and cook cafe food orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and presentation

Adhere to food safety regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently

• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for all visitors

Experience

ESSENTIAL

Knowledge of food safety practices – Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

Experience in food preparation or catering

Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer service

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

• Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting

DESIRABLE

· Experience within a cultural or charitable organisation

· Experience of using an EPOS system
