BS3 Community Development is a well-established charitable organisation in south Bristol – our mission is to improve the health, wellbeing & happiness of the people in the BS3 postcode area of south Bristol.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Barista/hospitality worker.
An exciting opportunity to be part of a lovely team, on our journey to bring BS3 Community Café into the heart of the BS3 community – through our café’s regular opening and events.
HOURS: As needed for cover in the Cafe Mon-Fri and for events in the evening and weekends.
RATE OF PAY: £13.50/hr Plus weekend/out of hours top-up.
CLOSING DATE: Friday 11th September 2026 at 11.59pm (23.59).

Key Responsibilities
- Barista trained to serve coffee and other hot drinks in the café.
- Assisting with food preparation and service.
- Providing outstanding customer service to a wide range of internal and external customers.
- Supporting the Café Manager in the day to day running of the café.
- Keeping the cafe, meeting rooms and event spaces clean and tidy, making sure that visitors feel welcome and safe.
- Opening and closing the cafe, cashing up and producing end of day reports.
- Use of the electronic till system for customer orders, stock control and ordering.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety, allergen procedures, HACCP & Food Safety and Food Hygiene procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Embracing and working to achieve equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging in all that you do.
- Serving alcoholic drinks from the café or a pop-up events bar
- Engaging and assisting with the public at events (Ages ranging from 0-90)
- Flexibility in working hours, including evening and weekend work.
