About The Hive:The Hive Youth Zone is a purpose-built facility for Wirral’s young peoplewhich opened on 8th April 2017. Our goal is that every young person onthe Wirral has somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to,and young people made more than 45,000 visits to the building last year.Our state of the art building in Birkenhead is open to all young peopleaged 8-19, and up to 25 for young people with disabilities or additionalneeds. It boasts a rooftop football pitch, skate park, garden, trainingkitchen, climbing wall, training kitchen, cafe, sports hall, arts and mediaroom, music and dance studios, boxing ring and gym – with more than 20activities on offer six days per week.All young people using The Hive are supported by a team of qualifiedyouth workers with expertise across a range of issues from mental healthand healthy relationships to careers, building skills and gainingexperience. POST: Family Days and Holiday Club ManagerSALARY: £28000 to £32,000 Pro Rota (dependent upon experience)Your contractual working time will be 536 hours per annum, based on thefollowing breakdown:Weekly family sessions: 7 hours per week (3.5 hours delivery, 3.5hours planning) across 48 weeks per year.Holiday club preparation: 14 hours per week for 4 weeks annually (1week before Easter, 2 weeks before Summer, 1 week beforeChristmas), totalling 56 hours.Holiday club delivery: 18 hours per week (4.5 hours × 4 days) for 8weeks per year, totalling 144 hours.These hours will be scheduled by management, with your normal workingpattern being Saturdays from 09:45 to 1:15pm plus planning time, and4.5-hour shifts during holiday clubs. You’ll make the YouthZone a place where memories are made and families want toreturn week after week.During school holidays, you’ll design and deliver our Holiday Club,offering action-packed days filled with variety, laughter, andchallenge. Whether that’s cooking up fun workshops, runningtournaments, leading arts sessions, or organising groupadventures, you’ll ensure every child and young person has thechance to try something new, build friendships, and feel inspired.This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creativity, loves toplan and deliver engaging activities, and is passionate aboutputting young people first.
