Nursery Practitioner

Our Team is growing at The Learning Tree and we are currently searching for a warm and friendly Nursery Practitioner/ Playworker to join us in creating a nurturing and adventurous environment. They will need to be enthusiastic and passionate about working in Early Years, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young children.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing a safe and secure environment for children by Ensuring that health and safety measures are constantly maintained via completing risk assessments, reporting risks and recording accidents and incidents.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with parents and carers good communication is key!
• Encouraging children to develop their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.
• Planning activities that are appropriate for the age and stage of development of the children in your care.
• Observing and recording children's progress
• Being aware of the individual needs of each child in your care. Leading the team within the baby department.
• Settling children into nursery and developing individual "all about me" profiles for each child.

Must have:

• At least two years of experience working with children.
• Understanding of the importance of following and abiding by policies and procedures
• Knowledge of safeguarding
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Childcare Level 3 or above
• First aid (preferred)
• Child protection (preferred)
• Food hygiene (preferred)

Desirable:

• DBS on update service (one can be obtained via the nursery if you do not have one)
• Clean UK Drivers licence with 2 years experience
