What we offer:

  • Excellent training opportunities, including RQF Level 3, Level 4 Certificate in Trauma Informed Care
  • From £12.60 per hour (higher at weekends and higher rates of pay for staff with RQF Level 3) and £89 sleep in rate which equates to an average salary of £36,000 per year

  • Equivalent of 6 weeks annual leave per year pro rata

Senior Care Practitioner at Cotswold Chine School

 Novalis Trust, is a charity that supports children and adults with Neurodevelopmental Difficulties and other learning needs. The Senior Care Practitioner role is part of a diverse team implementing current best practice models in residential children’s care.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Establishing key support relationships with children and young people
  • Offering care, support and guidance to help the children reach their full potential.
  • The Senior Care Practitioner also has responsibility for setting good practice standards and guiding and mentoring less experienced staff.

  • A Fixed 2 week rota including 2 sleep-in overnight stays each week

Cotswold Chine School, part of Novalis Trust, is a charity that supports children with Neurodevelopmental Difficulties. Youth Support Workers are pivotal in creating and supporting tailored activities for young people. As a Youth Support Worker your personality and creativity will be key in shaping and helping children pursue personal aspirations.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Encouraging young people to engage in a variety of clubs and offsite trips.
  • Planning, organising, and running half term programmes.

(All of which promote social development)

Requirements for the role:

The role would ideally suit someone with previous experience in sports coaching/ young people’s mentoring/ performing arts/creative activities;

or

who holds a qualification in Psychology/Sports and Exercise /Sports Coaching/ Youth and Community/Working with Children & Families.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A motivated, creative, and empathetic approach
  • Enthusiasm to work with and support the development of young people
  • Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities with young people
  • Confidence to contribute and collaborate with the youth support team and wider care team
  • A keenness to learn and implement Trauma Informed Practice
  • Previous experience in working with children and young people is desired
  • Driving licence desired
