There are two additional boarding houses forUpper School students in Pimlico and CoventGarden. SUMMARY OF THE ROLETo provide a welcoming and friendly reception supported by a goodunderstanding of all activities across the two sites. You will be part of anintegral team which manage the reception and public areas of our buildingsand provide high-quality support to all departments. Building supportiverelationships with all staff ensuring that at key times you are able to providevaluable assistance to others and ensure all school activities meet our highstandards. APPLICATION CLOSING DATE:                                     26 September 2025MAIN DUTIESThis list should be seen as illustrative rather than prescriptive;Be the first point of contact for all visitors to the SchoolSupport the Finance team with administrative tasks as instructedOrganise cover for Front of House and academic staff during holiday andabsences and scheduling planned holiday in coordination with the Front ofHouse team to avoid date clashesAssist School administrators, particularly during peak timesSupport academic staff during students’ examinations as directedAssist with the organisation and coordination of open days, parentmeetings and other similar School eventsProvide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, theExecutive Assistant, Head of Site Operations, academic staff and Schooladministrators as and when instructedOrganise incoming/outgoing post and distribute as directedLiaise with staff regarding group visitsOrganise taxis, minibus and couriers as requiredAttend Continuing Professional Development training / INSETEnsure Reception and all common areas are tidy and well-presented at alltimesManage and ensure the security of all allocated keysKeep the Front of House Handbook, diary and driver’s diary up to dateProducing a coherent and helpful handover email for the benefit ofweekend Reception based staffManage stationery and consumables, ensuring stock is kept at a sensiblelevel and replenished as instructedBe a nominated first aider and fire marshal, assisting the Site ServicesManager in ensuring compliance with procedural requirements as instructedTaking daily School attendance and fire registers by submitting data intothe School’s MIS Attend and complete assigned tasks at Upper School from time to time. Previous experience in a similar customer-facing / Reception role Good administration experience, particularly of supporting varied projectsand teams Excellent communication skills and confident telephone mannerFriendly, welcoming and approachableAble to deal confidently with the broad range of visitors to the Schoolincluding students, parents and VIPsProactive in approach, able to show initiative and to cope effectively withpossible situations of conflict, stress and pressureSolid IT skills including broad practical experience of Microsoft Word andMicrosoft OutlookHighly organised with close attention to detail and able to manage multiplepriorities Ability to work as part of a small team as well as unsupervised, and withinitiativeFlexible attitude towards duties and working patterns in order to fulfil therequirements of the role Willing to work collaboratively across many departments and develop andmaintain positive and supportive working relationshipsSmart appearance with a professional manner, attitude and approachInterest in working in a multi-site team and able to swap sites for a few daysa month Empathy with and a commitment to the aims and ethos of the School.Experience in using Microsoft ExcelExperience of maintaining databasesExperience of working in a School environmentAn interest in dance or the performing arts.ESSENTIAL CRITERIADESIRABLE CRITERIAPERSON SPECIFICATIONWe are committed to creating an environment where all our employees feel part of our teamand can flourish, regardless of their background.
