What will I be doing?
- Preparing meals,
- Providing refreshments,
- Washing up,
- Chatting to members of the public.
Where will I be volunteering?
St George’s Community Centre, Broadway, Lupset, Wakefield WF2 8AA.
What is the time commitment?
Various hours, ad hoc to suit our needs and your availability. We’re particularly looking for support on Wednesdays at the moment.
Who will I be volunteering with?
Kirsty, our Café Assistant, and other volunteers.
Who will support me?
Our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Keri and other St George’s staff.
What do you need from me?
- The ability to ensure confidentiality,
- Compassionate and able to treat those in need with dignity and respect,
- Passionate about helping people in the local community,
- Flexible, reliable & trustworthy,
- Willing to work alongside other volunteers and staff to ensure the smooth running of the Community Café,
- Able to follow our Safeguarding policies (full training will be provided).
