Emmaus Hampshire is recruiting a Community Manager to ensure the welfare and development needs of our companions are met effectively, and the social enterprise business activity is run successfully.
We are seeking a dedicated Support Manager who can multi-task effectively and provide compassionate support to our Companions (ex-homeless residents), fostering their welfare and personal development through strong coaching and counselling skills. This role also plays a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of our retail social enterprise and community accommodation services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in man-management, coaching, training, or counselling, with added advantage given to those who have worked in social care, mental health, or retail service sectors.
Emmaus Hampshire is a unique charity that offers a home, work experience, and individual support for up to 40 people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. We don’t just give people a bed for the night; we offer a home, meaningful work opportunities, and a sense of belonging.
At the heart of Emmaus Hampshire is our companions. Companion is the name given to people who live in an Emmaus community and contribute to the social enterprise, where they support themselves and one another.

Emmaus is a unique, secular organisation supporting people affected by homelessness and social exclusion. There are currently 29 Emmaus communities across the UK, stretching from Glasgow to Dover and Norfolk to South Wales. Collectively, the Emmaus Federation supports more than 1,000 people with experience of homelessness.
