This role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to take on this newly created position as a Place-based Development Officer for Children and Young People.
You will be working with a broad range of partners and sectors in the Mid Suffolk locality, to support the implementation of the Sport England Place-based approach, developing and enhancing the Sport & Physical activity infrastructure, workforce and wider community health & wellbeing outcomes.
In addition, you will specifically ensure effective collaborative partnership working, developing key relationships between partner organisations, education settings and the local community in a whole systems place based approach to support the Health & Wellbeing of local communities in the Mid-Suffolk area.
The role is funded by Sport England's Place Universal Offer and is in partnership with key local organisations including Mid Suffolk Council, Suffolk County Council – Public Health & Communities and Active Suffolk.

Salary: £35,412 - £38,220 per annum pro rata (plus car allowance)
Hours: Part time – 22.2 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2028
