Do you have a heart for rural ministry, for living out the Christian life as part of the community and a commitment to equipping and encouraging vocations?

The post of Team Rector of Gayton, Grimston, Massingham and District is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to minister among small rural committed communities in a beautiful part of north-west Norfolk 5 miles from the town of King’s Lynn and the glorious Norfolk coast.

Our churches are praying for a priest who will:

· lead us in mission and outreach as we seek to live out our calling to share the good news of Jesus Christ

· discern, encourage and equip vocations

· help us build on our relationships with our 5 village schools

· enable the benefice to engage with ways of deepening faith and discipleship

· develop a strategy for pastoral care

· lead worship with flexibility, building on connections between the church and the agricultural year

· encourage us to work across the benefice, while maintaining our individual identities

Key characteristics of post holder:

– an ordained priest in the Church of England, or a Church in communion with the Church of England with a desire to see lives transformed by Christ

– personally rooted and confident in their love of God and God’s love for others

– a love of rural communities

– a team player with a collaborative approach to ministry

– visible and approachable with good people skills

– enthusiastic and organised

– understands the importance of being visible across our communities

We offer a supportive congregations, a dedicated and hard-working ministry team and experienced and committed Churchwardens and PCCs. The Rectory is a comfortable and spacious home in the village of Grimston, in the heart of the countryside.
