Do you have a friendly, professional manner and a passion for working with people? We’re looking for a Reception & Membership Assistant to be the welcoming face of Base71 Youth Zone. In this vital front-of-house role, you’ll be the first point of contact for young people, families, and visitors – ensuring everyone feels at home while supporting the smooth running of reception and membership services. You’ll process memberships, bookings, and payments, handle enquiries, oversee the reception area, and play an important part in keeping the Youth Zone safe, welcoming, and inclusive.

You’ll need experience in a busy reception or customer-facing role, with confidence in handling cash and using tills or databases. Strong communication skills, a calm approach under pressure, and a friendly, approachable personality are essential, along with a “can-do” attitude and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. A GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths is also required.

This role follows a rotating schedule covering weekdays and weekends, with 3 working days each week. Shifts will include weekday evenings and weekend daytime or evening hours.

Please note that in line with our Safeguarding Policy, you must be age 21 as you will work across all of our sessions.
