This is a fixed term role for Maternity cover.

 
We are looking for a Bookings Administrator at our Guildford Hospital who will be responsible administering a large volume of email requests from referrals to appointments, ensuring the hospital meets its service deliverables whilst exceeding customer expectations.

Preferably you will have experience of working in fast paced environment, dealing with differing stakeholders, helping us build a healthier nation.

As our Bookings Administrator you will:

• Bring empathy, sympathy and sensitivity to the role.

• Ensure complex administration and support, meets the required standards and timescales

• Have attention to detail ensuring all data/information is accurate using the appropriate system and format according to the minimum data set.

• To prepare standard and adhoc reports as required and required by the department

• Handle appointment bookings and changes

• Create, alter or cancel clinics as required to support business needs

• Obtain pre-authorisation from insurance companies

• Support any other Administration requirement

The Person

To succeed as a Bookings Administrator, you will:

• Have experience in working in a busy customer facing business support function.

• Be a confident and customer-focused communicator with the ability to manage and interpret the right data

• Be educated to GCSE level in English and Maths

• Have good working IT skills (Outlook/Excel/Word), keyboard skills

• Have a strong attention to detail, be persistent, resilient and be determined to achieve goals set

• Ability to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders within the business

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. We are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care and our Endoscopy service has achieved JAG accreditation. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.

The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
