Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital | Bookings | 18.75 hours per week

Our Edinburgh Hospital are currently have an exciting opportunity for a Bookings Administrator in our Enquiries/Bookings department. You will have confident IT skills and strong organisation skills and will be capable of clinic planning, clinic changes and overall clinic management. You will have confident communication skills at all levels, as you will work closely with our consultants to ensure their clinics are fully booked and run smoothly. When talking to patients you will be able to explain sensitive or complicated information clearly, sympathetically and in a way that is easy to understand. Ideally, you have experience of working in healthcare administration. Full training will be given with our bespoke computer system.

As our Bookings Administrator you will:

  1. Work closely with patients and consultants
  2. Assist with appointment bookings and changes for both outpatients and theatres
  3. Assist with the co-ordination of room/consultant availability and operating lists
  4. Taking care of the patient journey, handling everything from the initial enquiry, confirmation and ensuring everything is in place and arranged for the patient.

To succeed as a Bookings Administrator, you will :

  1. Champion the customer experience in the hospital and work with colleagues to deliver a strong customer focused mind-set to bring the best of Nuffield Health to every customer
  2. Handle all enquires, or queries raised efficiently and effectively, escalating appropriately where necessary
  3. Have excellent organisational and IT skills
  4. Have the ability to use initiative and attention to detail
