About the Role

Caritas Bakhita House is part of the Diocese of Westminster’s response to human trafficking and modern slavery, offering a safe, supportive environment for women on the path to recovery.

We are seeking an empathetic and professional Relief Support Worker to join our team. You will work within a residential setting, providing emotional and practical support to women, helping them navigate their individual recovery journeys.

As part of a committed team, you will uphold dignity and foster independence, collaborating with partner agencies and colleagues to ensure high-quality care and support standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents, promoting empowerment and wellbeing

  • Support women to access services, advocacy, benefits, education and employment opportunities

  • Assist with participation in statutory and safeguarding processes

  • Contribute to assessments and interviews for new referrals

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners

  • Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality

  • Promote a safe, respectful and welcoming residential environment

What We’re Looking For

Experience of working with vulnerable people in residential or support environments is essential. A trauma-informed approach and understanding of issues such as human trafficking, asylum and safeguarding frameworks are desirable.
