Battle Scars

Battle Scars is a self-harm specific national charity based in South Leeds supporting people of all ages and genders affected by self-harm.

We’re looking for new trustees who have lived experience of  self-harm and want to help shape a charity that truly understands and supports people who struggle with it. 

Battle Scars is a small, survivor-led charity making a big impact across the UK. Our trustees guide our work and help ensure we grow in sustainable, creative, and effective ways.

What’s involved?
* Attend trustee meetings every 6-8 weeks on a Tuesday (in person at our premises in South Leeds) – some prep work required
* Provide insight, ideas and oversight into charity growth
* Help with specific areas like marketing, funding or strategy (as per your skillset)
* Support our values and amplify our voice
* Get involved with other charity business depending on your interests and availability
No previous trustee or board experience is required.

We are committed to a diverse, inclusive board. We especially encourage applications from:

We particularly welcome people with skills or experience in:
