About the Team

Disclosure Content is responsible for the strategic development, maintenance, and delivery of CDP’s disclosure framework (question bank, reporting guidance, and scoring). The disclosure framework provides environmental information to investors, customers, and other data users, and drives companies’ actions to transition to a sustainable economy. Within Disclosure Content, the Strategic Evolution team is responsible for developing CDP’s disclosure framework in response to strategic projects, standard and framework alignment, and other evolving needs of the organization. We work closely with other teams and functions across CDP to implement environmental reporting best practices and pioneer new areas of environmental disclosure.

About this role:

This role will provide technical, scientific, and analytical rigour to standards and frameworks analysis and support in aligning CDP’s disclosure framework with prioritized standards and frameworks. Central to this role will be supporting with development of standards and frameworks related processes and resources along with providing technical expertise to support standard setter engagement.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for team processes and outputs relevant to standards and frameworks, such as mapping exercises
  • Contribute to the development of the question bank, reporting guidance, and scoring methodologies – across environmental disclosure, focusing on standards and frameworks alignment. Including:
    • Prioritizing data points/metrics from relevant sustainability standards/frameworks and translating these into developments for the evolution of CDP’s corporate question bank and reporting guidance
    • Analysing response data and conducting desk-based research
    • Drafting and proofreading technical documents
  • Provide subject matter expertise and analytical support across CDP’s broader activities related to standards and frameworks. Including:
    • Contributing to projects (e.g. funded projects, publications, consultations, engagement events etc.)
    • Developing insights to support organization-wide understanding of key standards and frameworks
    • Delivering internal presentations/webinars
  • Engage with standard-setters on question bank changes related to standards and frameworks alignment
  • Support the planning, implementation, and optimization of processes related to standards and frameworks with respect to the evolution and delivery of CDP’s question bank, guidance, and scoring methodologies
  • Author, edit and test questions and guidance content in CDP’s online disclosure systems

We’re looking for:

  • A relevant academic qualification
  • Professional experience in a role related to environmental reporting standards and frameworks
  • Technical expertise in corporate environmental disclosure, focusing on key concepts of sustainability standards and frameworks
  • A demonstrable understanding of the global sustainability policy agenda
  • Ability to design, implement, and refine operational processes to drive efficiency
  • A high standard of written English and the ability to present complex information in a simple and concise way
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to organize and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • A high level of motivation, with a confident and collaborative working style
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with an ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure
  • The ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members of different technical and cultural backgrounds

The salary banding for this role is £32,147-£40,197.

This is a hybrid role, candidates will need to live within a commutable distance of the London office and be comfortable with 2 days in the office per week.
