Job overview

The Luton and Dunstable Hospital is looking to recruit a Trainee Frailty Advanced Clinical Practitioner into their frailty service on a year's secondment. This role would be an opportunity for an individual who is already on the Advanced Clinical Practice MSc Pathway but is looking for an opportunity to gain clinical experience and supervision on acute frailty to further their clinical skills and experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team who provide expertise in frailty as required by the Same Day Emergency Care programme for the acute setting of A&E and the assessment areas of the Trust.

Successful candidates for the post must meet the academic entry requirements set by the University for the master’s programme (already have a degree), be flexible, innovative, highly motivated and above all be committed to improving the care and assessment of frail older people within the Trust.

This post will develop to a Band 8a upon completion of a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice, and completion of an Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification, incorporating the competence of autonomous decision making.
