Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a high-quality Mathematics curriculum aligned with the Cambridge International and The Perse School curriculum framework.
  • Teach Mathematics across a range of year groups, fostering students' curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments that cater to varying levels of ability and language proficiency.
  • Regularly provide formative and summative assessments to monitor students' progress.
  • Prepare students for external examinations, including IGCSE, delivering a well-structured and challenging course.

Person Specification:

Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, including experience teaching from Year 6 to IGCSE level.
  • Experience preparing students for IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics examinations.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology and digital tools into Mathematics teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse student needs, including EAL learners.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
