Job Description: Futureproof Cumbria (previously CAfS) are looking for freelance Retrofit Assessors to join their team as their retrofit service grows. You’ll provide tailored advice to householders, model energy demand and carbon impact, and create practical retrofit scenarios that balance energy savings with heritage, health, and building use.

What you’ll do:

• Work with clients using the Home Retrofit Planner (HRP) software.
• Carry out virtual and onsite property assessments.
• Model building energy demand, costs, and carbon impacts.
• Produce clear, practical retrofit scenario reports.
• Support clients to understand funding opportunities and make confident decisions.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in domestic retrofit advice and building energy modelling.
• A Level 4 qualification (construction, architecture, or retrofit).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
• Self-motivated, organised, and committed to ongoing learning.
