We are a diverse group of people with learning disabilities, autism and Down’s syndrome, with some also needing mobility support. We have strong personalities, enjoy a laugh, and value clear, friendly communication (including Makaton for one of us).
We enjoy activities like baking, shopping, cinema trips, arts and crafts, swimming, and spending time with family, friends, and in the community. We like to be as independent as possible while receiving the support we need.
We live in a four-bedroom home close to shops, parks and transport links. We enjoy spending time together cooking, eating, relaxing, and using our garden, as well as going out locally.
What you'll be doing
Our staff team supports us 24/7 and are trained in Positive Behavioural Support, medication, and mobility support. Staffing is usually 2–3 team members during the day, with 1:1 support at times, and two waking night staff.
Day shifts are 07:00–14:30 and 14:30–22:00, and night shifts are 22:00–07:00.
We are looking for staff who are friendly, chatty, reliable, and enjoy a bit of fun and banter while supporting us to live our best lives.
