Glasgow Film Festival is seeking a creative programmer to lead on festival events, creating fun, accessible and inclusive events that will engage festival audiences.
Glasgow Film Festival’s programme is created by a small in-house team, working with a wide range of programmers, curators, filmmakers, screening partners and film distributors. The successful applicant will be expected to suggest and pitch ideas for screenings, pop-up events, in-conversations and other activity, and take the lead on the initial as well as contribute to their delivery.

Role responsibilities
- Work with the GFF programming team to design and develop event concepts, exploring different formats and event experiences
- Lead on and coordinate any collaboration with artists, community partners, freelancers or other creative partners including managing any contracts or necessary agreements
- Design events that are inclusive, accessible and audience-centered
- Watch films, suggest titles and provide feedback and suggestions to the programme team
- Gather feedback and evaluate impact to inform future programming
- Identify opportunities for sponsorship, funding and resource sharing
- Work with the Festival’s Operation Coordinator on event production, including but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, contracting, venue hire and technical requirements
- Collate, verify and input all details relating to events into shared database, an essential resource for the smooth operation of the festival
- Collate and submit invoices for payment, collect all necessary legal and financial requirements
- Liaise with programme partners about event schedules and personnel details
- Communicate with event partners and gather marketing materials
- Liaise with the marketing and comms team to create compelling event copy
- Gather feedback from programme partners

Person specifications
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in delivering events to develop audiences. A love for film is important, but a passion for all forms of culture, plus experience and a willingness for creative collaboration is equally desirable. The role requires an organised and positive attitude, creative flair as well as the ability to multitask, communicate confidently and manage deadlines.
