Make a real difference in your community

Are you a dedicated and driven professional with essential experience working directly with young people and delivering high-quality models of care for young people, children, and families? Do you have a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by drug and alcohol use? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Young Person and Families Service Manager to lead our innovative new service in the London Borough of Enfield. In this pivotal role, you will drive a whole-family approach to supporting young people, children, and families who are using drugs or alcohol, or who have been impacted by a loved one’s substance use.

You will provide strong leadership, inspire best practice, and ensure that our service delivers outstanding, compassionate, and effective support at every stage.

We are an organisation with an ambitious vision and a proven track record of delivering excellent services for young people, children, and families. Our team is passionate, committed, and driven by the desire to create lasting positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Young Person and Families service, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed support for young people, children, and families affected by substance use.

  • Provide strong leadership and supervision to the team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing service culture.

  • Develop and oversee effective models of care, ensuring they meet the needs of young people and align with best practice and safeguarding standards.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local agencies, schools, health services, and community organisations to enhance service reach and impact.

  • Monitor service performance, use data to drive improvements, and contribute to the ongoing development and innovation of the service.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

  • Essential experience working with young people (YP)
  • Experience in delivering models of care for young people, children, and families

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team

  • A commitment to whole-family support approaches

  • Passion, innovation, and a genuine drive to improve outcomes for the people we serve

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and innovative service that will make a real impact in the community. You’ll join a supportive organisation where your ideas and expertise will help shape the future of our work with families across Enfield.

Note: Some evening and weekend working may be required, dependent on service demands and programme delivery.

About Us

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship.

Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Richmond Fellowship’ or ‘Aquarius’ (our subsidiary charity in the Midlands). Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.

Thanks for bearing with us – and don’t forget to check out the Waythrough jobs on the Humankind job site https://peoplekind.my.salesforce-sites.com/recruit/

Aquarius

Aquarius is a subsidiary of Waythrough. Aquarius is a Midlands-based charity supporting individuals to overcome the harms caused by drugs, alcohol and gambling. Aquarius has always held the view that people we support could resolve their problems with support and guidance and that people have the ability to find their own solutions to their problems. Our roles across the organisation include Practitioners and Administrators as well as Team Managers.
