Job Description

Are you a creative communicator with a passion for the arts? Join Theatre Royal Wakefield as our new Communications Officer and help us tell the story of our vibrant theatre and community work.

This is a key role in our Communications team, focused on amplifying our message, growing audiences, and engaging stakeholders. You’ll lead on press and media activity, strengthen our digital presence, and support marketing across all departments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver marketing campaigns and digital content across platforms
  • Manage social media, website updates, and e-communications
  • Create compelling print and digital materials
  • Build media relationships and write press releases
  • Support reporting and evaluation for audience development

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A creative, organised, and detail-oriented approach
  • Confidence with social media and digital tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in marketing or the arts (desirable but not essential)
