About YMCA St Paul’s Group:

About the role:
We seek a dedicated professional to work collaboratively with the Early Years Manager at YMCA SPG’s Jumpers! Nursery. This role focuses on delivering a high-quality Early Years curriculum, fostering each child's individual development, and promoting a positive self-image.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Partner with the Early Years Manager to provide an engaging and high-quality Early Years curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the EYFS 2025 guidelines.
Child Development: Value and support each child as an individual, encouraging their all-round development in a safe and stimulating environment.
Activity Planning and Evaluation: Actively engage in planning and evaluating a range of age and stage-appropriate activities for children under 5, focusing on the prime areas, specific areas, and Characteristics of Effective Learning as per EYFS 2025
Building Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key children and their families, fostering a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour management strategies consistent with the organisation’s policies and EYFS 2025 standards.
Parental Communication: Effectively communicate with parents and carers regarding their child’s experiences, progress, and care in the setting.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to promote effective teamwork within the nursery setting.
Session Management: Complete registers at the beginning of each session and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
Health and Safety Compliance: Conduct daily health and safety checks, report any defective equipment to the Room Leader, and ensure all children are always within sight and hearing.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing exceptional care and learning experiences for young children. Your contribution will be pivotal in shaping the foundational years of the children at Jumpers! Nursery.

About the Role:
Based at various receptions across YMCA St Paul’s Group, you will lead a team that often serves as the first point of contact for anyone visiting our centres. Your role is to ensure that your team provides a high-quality customer service experience, handling various queries and offering comprehensive information and advice.
Your responsibilities include;
Team Leadership: Manage a team responsible for reception duties, including telephone switchboard service, sorting posts, logging repairs, and processing payments.
Safety and Security: As a key part of the safety measures, you and your team will be designated first aiders and fire marshals responsible for building evacuation during emergencies.
Regular Checks and Maintenance: Ensure your team regularly checks key areas throughout their shift to maintain safety and order.
Welcoming and Assisting New Residents: Depending on the site, you may be involved in welcoming new residents, booking Health & well-being members, dealing with complaints, and addressing reports of anti-social behaviour.
Front Desk Duies: Welcoming visitors, managing access, operating IT systems, managing mail and deliveries, handling cash, coordinating with external entities, overseeing key issuance and collaborating with staff from different departments, and managing the car park operations.
Information Management: Ensure all information displayed in reception, including posters and promotional leaflets, is current, relevant, well-stocked, and well-presented.
This critical and varied role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing an exceptional service experience. As a team leader, you will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment at our centres.
