Film Training Liaison and Projects Lead

The Film Training Liaison and Projects Lead will operate as part of ScreenSkills’ Film Team, working closely with the Head of Film, Animation & Future skills to identify and determine industry and specialist training providers across the UK to ensure that all professional-level training we commission meets with industry needs.
Contract: Fixed Term, 8 months (Start date: 2nd February 2026)
Salary: £37,400 per annum
Reports to: Head of Film, Animation & Future Skills
Location: ScreenSkills London, Hybrid (min 2 days a week in the office)
The Film Training Liaison and Projects Lead will operate as part of ScreenSkills’ Film Team, working closely with the Head of Film, Animation & Future skills to identify and determine industry and specialist training providers across the UK to ensure that all professional-level training we commission meets with industry needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Head of Film, Animation & Future Skills to define skills gaps and shortage areas to continually ensure that ScreenSkills is providing freelance crew with the skills to develop.
- Administrate the entire lifecycle of Film training course commissioning from tendering to final tracking of trained beneficiaries
- Fiscal responsibility to ensure budgets are set and monitored throughout the lifecycle.
- Ensure Expert Readers are coordinated to assess training applications.
- Continuous management and maintenance of key contact lists including current and potential training providers.
- Manage and maintain records of the training providers’ activity during their delivery process, ensuring they complete all the necessary paperwork at the start, beginning and end of their delivery period and filing all documentation.
- Coordinate procedure in the run-up to the newly funded training during Start-up meetings; including being first point of contact, liaise with and introduce to other ScreenSkills teams where collaboration could be useful.
- Liaise with ScreenSkills High-End TV (HETV) CPD coordinators/managers for co-funded programmes as well as being an active member of the CPD processes group.
- Ensure accurate capture of data in the PowerBI and Central Booking system in collaboration with the digital team, ensuring the right figures are captured in the system for quarterly reporting
- Liaise with training providers and the Marketing and Communications (Marcomms) team to plan how and when marketing of the course takes place.
- Gathering, disseminating and reviewing industry feedback throughout the course commissioning and delivery process
- Working with the Film team and Marcomms team to run events for training beneficiaries as required.
- Run Film-themed webinars as required.
- Provide cover for the Film Programmes and Placements Lead during period of leave

The ideal candidate will have the following:
Essential:
- A background of physical production in Film and operating at a mid-level management.
- Proven project management experience in a like/similar role
- Effective positive human relations skills including tact, diplomacy, and ability to work with all levels of staff and leadership
- Proven experience of managing long term tracking and outcome focused delivery
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- A ‘can do’ and hands-on proactive approach, with the ability to both think strategically, and make things happens
- Skilful management and prioritisation of a complex workload, matrix-working with colleagues in different teams across multiple projects.
