Salary £25,628 per annum pro rata for part time
Purpose of post
To deliver support and domestic abuse awareness packages to children/young people and mothers who have been referred into social care and are on child protection plans.
To support social workers within the child protection team to support families where domestic abuse is a presenting or historical factor.
To work collaboratively with other agencies such as CGL and health to create all round packages of support for families, ensuring all needs are met in a whole family approach.
To provide individual and family support packages for children & young people, ensuring that they have opportunities to work through their experiences of living with and leaving domestic abuse and that they and their female carer have access to services in the community which will promote children’s health and development, educational attendance and attainment, participation in social and leisure opportunities and diverting children from crime.
To help mothers to understand the impact of domestic abuse on their children but also on their own parenting and role as mothers
