This vacancy is for an Apprentice Electrical / Electronic Systems Engineer based in Darwen.
Working in a Multi Project Aerospace environment the role will mainly focused on the company Research and Development Projects within the organisation, ensuring efficiency, and supporting strategic goals.
The role will handle a variety of Electrical / Electronic tasks, coordinate between business functions, and support Engineering aspects of the business.
The Electrical / Electronic Engineer will undertake the following activities:
- Support the Product Development requirements and architecture modelling implementation on developed Electrical / Electronic Systems.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise on own areas of expertise, and develop own and others knowledge and experience to develop the capability.
- Implement the company Engineering Culture and champion the design and manufacturing ethos particularly in Aviation Electrical / Electronic aspects.
- Support Internal and client / customer capability in line with company strategies.
- Integrate with the Safety regime to demonstrate controls to Support Safety assessments and Integrated Test and Evaluation Planning activities, particularly implementing Hazard analysis FFA and FTA techniques.
- Provide day to day reporting in alignment with company standards and practices.
- Liaise with, client, and project teams to address System Design queries and ensure that Aviation Platform considerations are integrated throughout project lifecycles.
- Remain current with industry developments in System certification and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation and wider industry.
- Support and Develop the Electrical / Electronic Design and Manufacture elements of the Company Management System to maintain company accreditations
- Mentor engineers and others across the discipline and wider teams and contribute to their professional development as well as their own.
Additional Information/Notes
- Hybrid working may be available dependant on experience and deliverables.
- A willingness to travel / work from alternate locations would be highly advantageous.
- Flexibility and adaptability in working practices would be advantageous
Training to be provided
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence).
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) - Toolmaker, Tool & Die Maintenance.
- Level 3 Diploma or extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
