Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a six year old little boy living in the St Mellons area of Cardiff, and I have significant additional needs and I have sensory needs as well as limited speech. Due to my lack of road safety awareness I require close supervision.

I would really like to have support from a personal care assistant to assist me in the community accessing activities that I enjoy. I am an active child, who loves the outdoors.

PURPOSE OF JOB

  • To keep me safe and calm.
  • Assist and support me in the community to access the activities that I enjoy.

PLACE OF WORK

In my home and in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

 

3 hours a week.

Days and times to be discussed at interview.

 

 

RATE OF PAY

 

£14.50 per hour.

 

 

 

 

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Support to access the community
  • Support in travelling to and from activities.
  • To keep me safe in all environments.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRE

 

  • Someone who can support my emotional well being.
  • Someone who is patient and kind.
  • Someone who is dependable and reliable.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
