Hours: 37.5 per week (1.0 FTE)
Days: Five days between Sunday to Friday, including working on Sundays for 3-6 services per month (e.g. two Sundays on, two Sundays off - to be discussed and confirmed at interview)
Salary: £24,660-£29,030 p.a., (pro rata), approx. £2,055 - £2,420 gross income per month
About the Role:
The Communications and Production team at Trent Vineyard generates all the creative output for our large and dynamic church. We are recruiting either:
- an experienced creative to join as a Supervisor, or
- a developing creative to join as an Assistant
The role level and salary will be offered based on which responsibilities (listed below) the candidate best fulfils.
Supervisor Role Specifics
The Supervisor will work closely with the Senior Manager for Communications and Production and take the lead on all major design, photo, video for social media content, setting the standard for output and brand; review and approve work to ensure brand quality and consistency.
This role requires a creative, highly organised and technically skilled creative who is a team player. With the ability to work on multiple projects throughout a week. The Supervisor role will additionally be expected to oversee staff and volunteers and ensure consistently high standards across all media and event output and be able to follow a brief consistently.
The candidate will require strong interpersonal skills and must work effectively across multiple teams, including the senior leadership team and remain calm and adaptable under pressure and receive feedback graciously. They must be technically competent and media-savvy, they can use digital tools, including the full adobe suite and support creative content production. They thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable working flexibly, including outside standard office hours when required.
The ideal candidate will be a confident and experienced multimedia creative with a strong grasp of multi-channel design/communications, including social media, email, websites and video platforms.
Assistant Role Specifics
If applying at the Assistant level the successful applicant would be a member of our creative team and involved in creating a variety of multimedia assets, and follow a brief consistently, which would then be submitted for sign off and feedback from the supervisor/senior manager.
The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate from a related degree/or college course in a related field looking to gain experience working in a busy design department and be open to learning new skills and developing their creative tools.
The applicant will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of Trent Vineyard’s vision, values and hallmarks, and should embody and communicate them both in their work and wider church life. As part of an active Christian faith, they will seek to live out these values daily. It is essential that they consistently demonstrate respect and honour toward the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees of Trent Vineyard.
Key Responsibilities – Supervisor:
- Creative Direction: Lead and approve all major design, photo, and video* for social media output; uphold brand quality
- Comms Collaboration: Work with the the Senior Manager and Comms team to interpret briefs and align creative direction
- Campaigns & Events: Produce creative assets for major seasonal events and key campaigns
- Social Content: Plan, shoot, and edit social media content in partnership with Comms
- Photography: Capture Sundays, events, and storytelling moments.
- Interview/Testimony Videos: Plan, film, and edit video* content for Sundays/online platforms
- Team Oversight: Mentor and support creative staff/volunteers; provide feedback and guidance
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain and improve brand assets, templates, and guidelines
- Sunday Production Team: Work at least one full Sunday a month to create/capture content
- Urgent Requests: Handle time-sensitive creative needs as they arise.
- Creative Innovation: Develop/test new ideas, styles, and content formats for social/digital
- System & Workflow Improvement: Maintain and refine creative systems to boost efficiency
- Training & Skill Development: Grow skills in photo, video, design, leadership to support team
- General Comms Support: Assist with communications projects that enhance storytelling, engagement, and visual identity.
*Video under the supervision of our Video Supervisor
Key Responsibilities – Assistant:

Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a creative studio/design department supervision role. (Supervisor)
- Experience in faith-based, charity or secular multimedia design (desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver a variety of creative assets.
- Confident overseeing creatives, volunteers and multiple stakeholders (Supervisor).
- Experience using Mac systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with and a good understanding of AV technology.
- Qualification in graphic design, illustration, photography, art or similar (desirable).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and website CMS.
Other requirements:
- Active, practicing Christian* with a clear commitment to Trent Vineyard’s vision, values and ethos.
- Regular attendee and active participant at Trent Vineyard.
- Holds the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Willing to work Sundays and occasional evenings/weekends.
- Willing to undergo a DBS check if required.
- Loyal and respectful toward the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.
- A full UK driving license is beneficial, but not essential.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: Senior Manager (Production & Communications) for Supervisor role or Senior Supervisor (Comms & Events) for Assistant role.
Direct Reports: Only applicable for Supervisor role (other members of creative team, at least one), the Assistant role would not have direct reports.
