Job Introduction

Advanced recovery worker – Safeguarding and Domestic abuse.

Do you understand the risks that can affect people in domestic abuse relationships and work in a multi-agency way to think of innovative ways to alleviate some of these risk and support recovery from drug or alcohol use?

Do you understand the impact of drug and alcohol use on the whole family? Not just the person using it?

Can you work with social workers, community support and other partners to support a family in their community to help them make changes, learn new ways to cope and support them and their families to thrive?

As an Advanced Practitioner we offer a starting salary of £29,244 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands to £33,880. (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).

Role Responsibility

Foundations are looking for an advanced practitioner to work across Suffolk, to hold a case load of clients who are working with Children and young people’s services and or are in domestic abuse situations.

You will support the Turning Point staff team to understand safeguarding, create safety plans and complete the DASH.

You will attend MARAC and update the teams around risks to their clients or from their clients.

You will work closely with the complex families advanced practitioner to offer full family support.

You will also support the families and carers worker to run the five steps support groups across the county.

The Ideal Candidate

This role is outreach and your base can be any of the three hubs but you will be expected to travel across the county to see your clients in their community and in their homes.

You will run groups across the county, in the hubs and in the community to help people understand risk, safeguarding and domestic abuse so that it is embedded in practice.
