An opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the RVC’s Admissions Team in the role of Admissions Officer. This post is offered as maternity cover.
This is a varied role within the RVC’s Admissions Team, with the opportunity to work across a wide range of admissions activities. You will be involved in checking and processing applications, maintaining applicant records and supporting interviews and admissions events. You will also be a first point of contact for prospective applicants and applicants, providing advice and guidance throughout the admissions process.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in an administrative and/or customer focused role, who is able to work confidently with detailed information and provide a high standard of service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, together with a meticulous eye for detail and a high level of accuracy. You will need to be able to organise and prioritise your own workload, work effectively during busy periods and follow detailed processes and procedures. Experience of working in Higher Education or with UCAS would be an advantage, but is not essential.
The Admissions Team is based at our Camden Campus and the post holder will be primarily based in Camden. Following successful completion of probation, the post holder will be able to apply to work from home for up to two days a week.
As a maternity cover role, the post is fixed term until the end of May 2027, although this may be shortened should the substantive post holder return earlier than expected.
