Right to Remain is seeking a consultant to help scope for a new part-time communications post that we plan to recruit for and fill in 2026.
We are a migration justice organisation that punches above our weight. Our work uniquely combines public legal education, strategic convening, and lived-experience-led campaigning and organising to strengthen the migration justice movement. To increase our impact, we aim to add a dedicated communications function to our team.
About the Consultancy:
- Budget:£2,000 (spread over at least 5 days)
- Timeline:Work to be completed by end of January 2026

Scope:
- Review our current communications capacity, capability, and methodologies
- Identify strengths and weaknesses
- Outline a practical, proportionate communications set-up aligned with our size and budget
- Draft a communications officer job description and person specification
Deliverables:
- A brief report on our organisational communications needs and capability
- Recommendations for our communications approach
- Draft job description and person specification for the new role
We are looking for someone who understands our ethos and approach, is familiar with the asylum and migration field, and brings fresh thinking without preconceptions. Knowledge of social justice movements and grassroots organising is strongly encouraged.
