Salary: Band 8a - £56,549 - £63,088 per annum  

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service)

Contract: Permanent, full-time 

Are you an experienced, compassionate nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality care to children and young adults with complex needs? We’re looking for a Lead Nurse to join our well-established, dynamic nursing team in a highly rewarding specialist setting.

The Role

As Lead Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering expert care for individuals with epilepsy and associated complex health needs. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, families, and external professionals, you’ll provide both hands-on clinical leadership and mentorship to ensure the nursing team provide the highest standards of care.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support a multi-skilled nursing team in delivering personalised, holistic care.
  • Oversee and monitor care plans, risk assessments, and emergency protocols Act as a clinical expert in epilepsy management and complex needs care.
  • Champion safeguarding and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with neurologists, therapists, and educators to support individual development and wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

  • NMC registered (Child/Adult/Learning Disability Nurse)
  • Significant experience in paediatric/complex care or epilepsy nursing
  • Strong leadership, excellent communication, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
  • A supportive, proactive approach to team management and mentorship
