About the Role
Waythrough Greater Manchester offer a range of housing-related support services, advice and guidance to help people obtain accommodation and progress towards a sustained independent lifestyle in the community. Working as part of a wider team to provide housing support, delivering a support package to help clients to live independently and progress towards sustained housing recovery.
What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Manchester-based Service Manager to manage a recovery focused, 28 bed supported accommodation project and outreach support service. You will play a pivotal role in our service, dedicated to addressing the housing needs of individuals in treatment and improving their engagement in treatment programs. Your leadership skills and ability to work in partnership with others will be crucial in achieving our ambition of eliminating housing problems associated with alcohol and drug use.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in a similar field or social housing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent partnership working and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues related to housing challenges associated with alcohol and drug use.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to housing and substance misuse.

Aquarius is a subsidiary of Waythrough. Aquarius is a Midlands-based charity supporting individuals to overcome the harms caused by drugs, alcohol and gambling. Aquarius has always held the view that people we support could resolve their problems with support and guidance and that people have the ability to find their own solutions to their problems.
