Hours: 10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Afternoon and early evening availability is preferred. Final working hours will be discussed during the interview.
Location: Great Sankey area, Warrington
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour
About the Role:
A Personal Assistant is required to support a gentleman living with dementia, helping him maintain independence at home and in the community.
Main Duties Include:
Accompanying the client for short outings (e.g., tea or a small meal)
Prompting appropriate clothing choices based on weather
Preparing hot drinks and turning on the TV
Assisting with small shopping tasks
Light domestic duties (e.g., wiping surfaces, washing cups)
Occasional personal care prompts (e.g., reminders to shower or wash hands)
Flexibility to undertake other reasonable tasks as needed
Note: Duties may vary daily. Flexibility and willingness to undertake reasonable tasks are essential.
Requirements — Essential:
Respectful of the client’s wishes
Honest and trustworthy
Good communication skills
Patient and well-mannered
A good sense of humour
Preferred:
Owns a vehicle and holds a valid driver’s licence
Has business insurance
Non-smoker
Additional Information:
A probationary period will apply
An enhanced DBS check will be required (provided free of charge)
