Job Role: Support Worker – Women’s Refuge

Salary: £25,235 per year

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Weymouth

Additional information:

  • Flexible rota-based working hours between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including weekends.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our incredible Haven project — a warm and welcoming 6-bed refuge in the Weymouth area. Haven provides a safe space for women who have experienced rough sleeping and are facing complex challenges such as mental health issues, substance misuse, and domestic abuse.

Our dedicated team is available 24/7, offering tailored support to help women rebuild their lives and move towards independence. As a Support Worker, you’ll be a key part of that journey.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building trusting, professional relationships with clients
  • Creating personalised support plans that reflect the needs, goals and strengths of each individual
  • Advocate for clients and helping them access safe, stable housing and essential services
  • Tracking progress and celebrating every milestone on the path of independence

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Knowledge of the support needs and support planning for people with complex needs
