The Health Community Engagement Manager will lead the delivery of a new system-wide programme of community engagement activity across Birmingham and Solihull, in partnership with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), BVSC, Warwickshire & Solihull Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA) and the Birmingham and Solihull VCFSE Leadership Alliance,
This includes oversight of ICB community panels, coordination of community engagement grants aligned to health inequality priorities, and the collation of community feedback for reporting and learning. The postholder will play a key leadership role in enabling high-quality, equitable engagement with communities through the VCFSE sector, while helping to shape sustainable models for community voice in system decision-making. You will also work closely with local authorities and other NHS organisations to coordinate activity and ensure that engagement compliments existing activity.
The role will be hosted by BVSC and embedded within the NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board and NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board cluster Communications and Engagement Team under matrix management. The postholder will work closely with the BVSC Research directorate who are already commissioned to deliver a number of engagement activities through local and national NHS funding.
