The Finance Reporting & Planning Manager helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by leading a highly-efficient planning and reporting service that provides a holistic view of the financial and operational performance of the Association to the Executive and senior leadership, enabling them to make short- and long-term decisions which ensure best use of the organisation’s funds.
For this role you will be based at our Hillfields site in Reading and expected to attend site 2/3 days per week.

Candidate requirements
To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;
Essential•
Finance – ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.

To be able to confidently deal with complex financial and technical disclosure standards.
•
Demonstrable experience of producing management reports including clear and insightful analysis in medium to large size organisations with automated processes, thereby helping the organisation to make commercially sound decisions

Experience of preparing budgets and forecasts, including short to medium term (1-5 years) financial modelling
•
Demonstrated experience of activity-based costing and modelling and return on investment / productivity analysis, including the link between financial and non-financial indicators
•
Demonstrated the ability to build and establish a credible business partnership with all areas of the organisation.

Demonstrated experience of driving change to generate efficiency or other benefits
•
People management experience
•
Sound knowledge of accounting standards and practices
•
Understanding of financial return measurement techniques (Key performance indicators including ROI, NPV, IRR)

Understanding of the functionality and dimensionality of computer-based accounting systems and how to use it for analysis and insight
