Salary: £40,00-£44,000 per year

Contract: Fixed Term, 15 months, Full Time

Role Overview:

  • Are you a sales leader with a passion for events and a talent for developing people? Enable Leisure and Culture is looking for a dynamic Venue & Events Sales Managerto drive bookings and revenue across our portfolio of stunning venues — including the Pump House Gallery, Battersea Park Bandstand, Bowling Green and the Wandsworth Civic Suite.
  • This is a high-impact, commercially focused role. You’ll own the sales pipeline, convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, and create profitable packages that delight our clients and support our charitable mission. You will also line manage our Wedding Coordinators, providing coaching, support and direction to ensure they deliver exceptional service and meet their own sales and service goals

Main Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Take ownership of venue hire enquiries- respond quickly, provide quotes, conduct persuasive site visits and close sales.
  • Proactively generate new business through outreach, partnerships and community connections.
  • Design and launch packages, promotions and upsell opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date pipeline in Artifax and produce weekly sales and forecast reports for the Head of Events.
  • Meet and exceed agreed revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Conduct occasional evening or weekend site visits to showcase venues to prospective clients.
  • Line manage the Wedding Coordinators, setting clear targets for enquiry response, conversion and customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise closely with the Events Team and other park services to ensure seamless coordination of the entire events program.
  • Act as the primary sales contact for all high-value clients until contract signature, then hand over cleanly to the operations team for delivery.
  • Collect and use client feedback to refine sales strategies and improve conversion.
  • Log bookings, budgets and recorded income accurately in Artifax.
  • Create and issue client invoices, liaising with Finance and chasing invoices.
  • Seek supplier quotes aligned with Enable’s Procurement Code and raise purchase orders where needed.
  • Achieve targeted income through smart booking selection and balancing the needs of public use venues

Skills and Experience:  

  • Proven track record in venue or event sales, with measurable success in hitting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience in line managing or supervising a small teamwith a supportive but performance-focused approach.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate, upsell and close deals profitably.
  • Confident at networking and building pipelines from scratch.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to pitch and present to diverse audiences including corporates, community groups and private clients.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel and CRM/booking systems (Artifax or similar an advantage).
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence.
  • Flexible to work evenings or weekends for client viewings when required.
