At RASASC, we take pride in supporting our clients and have been supporting people affected by sexual violence since 1995. All members of our team are highly motivated towards raising society’s awareness of the prevalence and consequences of sexual violence as well as helping to challenge common myths and unhelpful perceptions.

As a leading provider of support for people who have experienced sexual violence we are looking to recruit individuals who are committed to working within this field and who want to make a difference to the lives of those affected by trauma. We offer excellent terms and conditions with a 35-hour full time working week, 28 days leave per year plus Bank Holidays, a pension and EAP scheme as well as training and development opportunities.

Essential Skills:

  • Recognised professional qualification to Post Graduate Diploma level
  • Eligible for Accreditation with BACP or equivalent governing body
  • Experience of working therapeutically with trauma/survivors of sexual violence
  • A clear understanding of the effects of sexual violence
  • Experience of providing trauma focused interventions
  • Experience of providing time limited counselling
  • Understanding of and ability to provide psychoeducation & stabilisation techniques
  • Ability to assess for risk and formulate treatment plans
  • Experience of working with adolescents
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • A good level of IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft 365

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Additional qualification in EMDR/CBT/Trauma Focused Therapy
  • Experience of working therapeutically with children

  • Experience of working with trauma/vulnerable children, young people and families
  • Effectively undertake and respond to risk and needs
  • Strong crisis management skills

  • Excellent IT Skills: word processing, emailing and internet
  • Ability to input accurate data via in house database system
  • Pro-active and organised
  • Ability to manage a large complex caseload of clients
