Donation Centre Assistant (Incl Driving)

Contract: Permanent contract 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on al flexible 7 day rota)

Salary: £24,002.09per annum

Location: Waverley Industrial Park, HA1 4TR (will also on occasion involve working in our other shops based in Harrow & Brent)

Our local community is a vital partner in our care, kindly supporting us through their donations and fundraising alongside the dedication of over 800 incredible volunteers who freely give us their time to support the best possible end of life care for local people.

Job Purpose and scope

Are you organised, hands-on, and passionate about making a positive impact? We’re looking for a dedicated Donation Centre Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our busy Donation Centre. This varied role includes everything from supporting volunteers and sorting donations, to providing exceptional service to donors and occasionally driving our company van.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and values-led charity team working to raise vital funds through our retail network.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

Experience in a warehouse, retail, or customer-facing environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Willingness to undertake manual handling training.
Ability to stay organised and complete necessary records and paperwork.
Friendly, proactive and flexible approach.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a charity or donation centre.
Experience supervising volunteers.
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Trading Standards in a resale context.
Familiarity with eBay or similar platforms.
Knowledge of Gift Aid, fashion trends, or branded items.
