Support Worker
People Matters (West Yorkshire)
What we are looking for:
We want people with a commitment to empowering individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and other hidden disabilities to increase their skills, be more independent and live their lives the way they want.
We support our members to do a range of activities such as leisure, hobbies, employment (paid or voluntary), education, tasks in the home e.g. shopping, cooking, and accessing different groups.
Essential:
- Experience working with vulnerable people, either on a paid or voluntary basis.
- Completion of a Health and Social Care qualification (level 2 or above) or a willingness to do so.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently.
- Commitment to promote member’s individual choices and work in a person centred nature.

Salary and hours:
Opportunities in this role are flexible and salaried between 16-30 hours per week with significant overtime also frequently available. We are happy to discuss your preferred contract. We pay the Real Living Wage of £12.60/hour – for example on 20hrs/week, the salary is £13,104 pa (FTE £24,570).
