Job Summary
St Teresa’s Hospice, Darlington is seeking a driver to join our Retail Team,
based at our Darlington warehouse.

Location: St Teresa’s Hospice Retail Warehouse, Unit A, McMullen Road, Darlington, DL1 1XY

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; usual working pattern 5 days per week Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 8am
- 4pm, with occasional Saturdays.

St Teresa’s Hospice Band 1: £23,810 per annum.

Main duties of the job:
We are a forward thinking, inclusive registered charity, providing care and support to patients and their families in
their own homes and at St Teresa’s Hospice. Our chain of charity retail shops, supported by our warehouse, helps us
to raise the funds we need to continue providing our services.

Hospice Drivers deliver and collect donations and purchases to and from our warehouse, charity shops, customers
and local businesses, driving the Hospice van. The role will also include sorting and organising donated goods in the
warehouse and assisting with lifting and handling of large and valuable goods.

Essential skills and experience include:

•  Full UK driving licence

•  Experience of manual handling, working with the general public, and van driving
