Here at Bhaktivedanta Manor we are looking for a reliable and dedicated Temporary Operations Assistant to join a robust and dynamic team with skills of excellence.
The Operations Assistant will support the School of Bhakti team with the day-to-day running of courses and events on the weekend at Bhaktivedanta Manor. The ideal candidate is professional, organised, and happy to work in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the smooth running of courses, events and retreats on weekends, and other special events.
- Support logistics, including set-up, take-down, and coordination of resources.
- Provide administrative support to the Operations team.
- Manage bookings and scheduling for facilities.
- Liaise with volunteers and support them in their service areas.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of operational areas.
- Monitor supplies and assist in ordering equipment and materials.
- Provide guest support and respond to visitor queries where required.
Other Duties
- Attend online weekly department meetings.
- Work closely with the reception and facilities teams.
- Assist with health and safety checks where required.
Equipment and/or Resources
- Office equipment and facilities-related tools.
- Festival and programme resources.
Minimum Performance Standards for Key Responsibilities
- Timely and reliable support during weekends and festivals.
- Clear and accurate administration of bookings and logistics.
- Effective teamwork with volunteers and staff.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as reasonably necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and overall business objectives as and when required.

- Ability to work as part of a team and support volunteers.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office preferred).
- Trustworthy, reliable, and friendly.
- Knowledge of Bhaktivedanta Manor community and values is a bonus.
Location: Onsite at Hare Krishna Temple, Bhaktivedanta Manor, Hilfield Lane, Watford WD25 8EZ
Hours: Hours will be worked on a casual basis but some flexibility required
